Gabor Named G-MAC All-Conference Second Team

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Senior guard for the women's basketball team, Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor), was named to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team on Wednesday (Feb. 28) in conjunction with the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament banquet.

Gabor wins her second consecutive All-Conference honor as she was named All-GLIAC First Team last season.

Gabor finished the regular season with 541 points, 172 rebounds, 94 assists, and 55 steals in 977 minutes across 28 games. She averaged 19.3 points per game, a team-high. She made 45% (193-423) of her field goals and 88% (108-123) of her free throws.

Her 19.3 points per game ranked second in the conference while she finished eighth in field goal percentage, first in free throw percentage, eighth in assists per game (3.4) and fourth with steals per game (2).

Against Ohio Dominican on February 15th, Gabor earned her first triple double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and a Lake Erie and G-MAC record 16 assists. This season, she set career-highs in points (35), rebounds (15), and assists (16). She tied her career-bests in steals (5) and blocks (2) over the course of the season.

The Storm will face Cedarville on Thursday (Mar. 1) in the quarterfinals of the Great Midwest Athletic Tournament at 6:00 PM.
