Women's Basketball Wraps Up Road Slate (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will conclude the current four game road trip with G-MAC contests at Ohio Dominican and Cedarville this week. The Storm will play the Panthers on Thursday (Feb. 15) at 7:30 PM and will face the Yellow Jackets on Saturday (Feb. 17) at 2:00 PM.

Storm Report: Lake Erie is 11-13 overall and 7-11 in the G-MAC following road losses at Findlay and Hillsdale last week. Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) leads the Storm and is second in the G-MAC with 19.5 points per game. Christine Dawson (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) is second in the conference with 9.2 rebounds per game.

Opposition Position: The Panthers enter the matchup with a 16-8 overall record and a 12-6 mark in the G-MAC. ODU fell at Hillsdale 80-76 on Tuesday. Alexis Fisher and Sarah Futscher are tied for the team lead with 12.7 points per game. The Yellow Jackets have an overall record of 19-5 and a G-MAC record of 14-4 as of Wednesday (Feb. 14). Cedarville plays Ursuline prior to hosting the Storm. The Yellow Jackets fell at Findlay 73-65 in their last game. Regina Hochstetler is the leading scorer with 17.8 points per game.

Series History: The Storm is 5-10 against the Panthers in the series as Ohio Dominican took the first matchup 81-76 back in January at the Osborne Center. The Storm and Yellow Jackets met for the first time in the Division II era on Jan. 25 at Lake Erie. Cedarville won the inaugural matchup 71-60.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will return home to host Walsh and Malone for the final two games of the regular season on Feb. 22nd and Feb. 24th.
