Women's Basketball Travels to Ohio Valley (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College women's basketball team will continue Great Midwest play with a road game at Ohio Valley University on Thursday (Dec. 7) night. The Storm and the Fighting Scots will tip off at 5:30 PM.

Storm Report: The Storm enters the matchup with a 3-3 overall record and a 0-1 conference mark. Lake Erie opened G-MAC play with a 70-58 loss at Ursuline on Saturday, where Kayla Gabor (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) led the Storm with 19 points.

Statistical Leaders: Gabor ranks at the top of the Great Midwest leaders with an average of 19.3 points per game. Christine Dawson (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) is third in the conference with an average of 10.5 rebounds per game and leads with 4.7 offensive rebounds per contest.

Opposition Position: Ohio Valley is 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the G-MAC this season following a 75-60 loss to Ohio Dominican in their last contest. Jordan Fox is the Fighting Scots' leading scorer as she accounts for 11.5 points per game.

Series History: The Storm and the Fighting Scots have met twice on the hardwood since 2009. Lake Erie have won both meetings with the last one being a 74-57 victory on the road in 2015.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will travel to Alderson Broaddus on December 14th for a conference showdown at 5:15 PM.
