SOUTH DIVISION ROUND ROBIN CONTINUES IN TIFFIN, COLUMBUS: Lake Erie closed out its 2013-14 home campaign early. The Storm played their final Painesville game last Saturday and will now be on the road for three straight games to close out the season. The front two-thirds of that three-game finale will take place with Thursday and Saturday rematches against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division foes Tiff and Ohio Dominican, respectively. LEC heads into the two games on a five-game slide; the team's last wins came at home against TU and ODU (Jan. 30, Feb. 1).

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS: Tiffin is winless over its last three games, but the Dragons are 5-4 this season on their home hardwood. Lake Erie downed TU, 63-59, in Painesville on Jan. 30. Both teams shot 37 percent from the floor in that contest; LEC outshot the Dragons from the foul line and from beyond the arc. Senior G KARLI MAST (9.8 PPG) is Tiffin's leading scorer; she was held to just 6P on 2-of-10 shooting in meeting No. 1. ... The Dragons rank 13th in the GLIAC in scoring (65.8 PPG) and 13th in defense (71.9 PPG allowed). TU ranks seventh in the circuit in rebounding (plus-2.0 margin) and eighth in free-throw shooting (71.2 percent).

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Ohio Dominican is 3-2 since a Feb. 1 loss at Lake Erie. A defense that ranks third in the league (65.1 PPG) has held foes under 70 points in four of those five games. F MELISSA SCHERPENBERG is shooting 55.9 percent (33-of-59), averaging 14.4 PPG over that quintet of contests. ... G KACEE HOCKENBERRY leads the Panthers in scoring for the season. Hockenberry -- who scored 21 against LEC on Feb. 1 -- is averaging 16.2 PPG.
