Storm Shines at Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio— The Lake Erie College track and field team continued the start of their outdoor season at the Wooster Invitational Friday (March 27).

Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) took first in the high jump, clearing 1.62 meters (5'3.75").  Marie Hall (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) took second in the event, clearing 1.57 meters (5'1.75") while Asya Hobbs (Lynwood, Ill./Bishop Noll) took third, clearing 1.47 meters (4'9.75").

Kaitlyn Menges (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) finished sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.35 meters (142'3").

Sean Stone (Newton Falls, Ohio/Southeast) took third in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.59 meters (162'8").  Jimmy Ritt (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) was just behind Stone, taking fourth with a toss of 44.51 meters (146').

Matthew Mrosko (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) took first in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.85 meters (6'0.75").

Kurtis Taylor (Holland, Ohio/Springfield) took third in the javelin with a throw of 38.78 meters (127'3").

The Storm competes next weekend at the Mount Union Invite.
