Storm Wraps Up First Outdoor Event at Wake Forest Open

Day One Recap

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.— The Lake Erie College track and field team wrapped up their first outdoor event of the season at the Wake Forest Open Saturday (March 21) against some of the top NCAA Division-I talent in the country.

Joe Postwaite (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) placed second in the high jump invitational, clearing NCAA Division-II provosional mark of 2.05 meters. Matthew Mrosko (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) finished sixth in his section of the high jump, clearing 1.90 meters. 

Douglas Moorer (Copley, Ohio/Copley) finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 48.47 meters. 

Danielle Corbin (Atlanta, Ga.) took fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters. 

The Storm is back in action next weekend UC Oliver Nikoloff Invitational in Cincinnati.
