Storm Finishes Day One at Wake Forest Open

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.— The Lake Erie College track and field team opened the outdoor portion of their schedule competing against some of the top talent in the country at the Wake Forest Open Friday (March 20).

Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) finished second in the high jump invitational, clearing a national provisional mark of 1.70 meters. Asya Hobbs (Lynwood, Ill./Bishop Noll) finished eighth in her section of the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters.

Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) took second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.74 meters. 

Kaitlyn Menges (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) finished  12th in the shot put with a toss of 12.19 meters. 

Sean Stone (Newton Falls, Ohio/Southeast) placed third in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.40 meters.  Jimmy Ritt (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) took 12th in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.70 meters.

Douglas Moorer (Copley, Ohio/Copley) took 16th in the shot put with a toss of 14.51 meters. 

The Storm continues at the Wake Forest Open Saturday (March 21).
