Snyder logs second qualifying time in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. – Ethan Snyder closed out a big weekend at the North Carolina State-hosted Raleigh Relays by posting his second provisional qualifying mark in an many days. Snyder, who posted a provisional mark in the men's 110-meter hurdles on Friday, notched another NCAA-II B-cut in completing the 400 hurdles in 52.57 seconds on Saturday.

That's a fine way to kick off the Storm's outdoor campaign for the senior from Salesville, Ohio. Snyder was a two-event (400, 60H) qualifier in Lake Erie's indoor season which concluded with the LEC Men earning a program-best ninth place finish at the NCAA-II National Championships.

The stage on Friday and Saturday was similar to that of a national title meet. Over 4,000 athletes from 114 different D-I, II and III programs were on hand in Raleigh. The unscored event saw big performances from the Storm men's and women's squads on Saturday.

A quartet of Andrew Kemer, Brian Havrilla, Ethan Snyder and Shavon Thompson posted one of the best NCAA-II times in the men's 4x400 relay, clocking in with a time of 3:20.61.

Freshman Vinnie Horning earned a top-50 finish in the 1,500, posting a time of 4:04.28.

On the women's side, Danielle Martin logged a personal best in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 12.19 seconds.

Junior Ariana Jorgensen logged a top-50 finish in the 100-meter hurdles.  Junior Kaitlyn Menges notched a top-40 throw in the hammer throw. Freshman Nikki Mosby registered her collegiate best (9.65 meters, 31-08) in the shot put.
