Terrific trio: three LEC standouts qualify for indoor nationals

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Three Lake Erie athletes have qualified into five events at the upcoming 2014 NCAA-II Indoor National Championships. 

Senior Jamil Dudley, junior Joe Postwaite and senior Isaac Snyder have qualified for the D-II title event which will be held March 14-15 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Dudley qualified in both the men's high and long jump events. Postwaite will compete against Dudley in the high jump, and he also qualified in the men's triple jump. Snyder is a qualifier in the hepathlon.

Currently ranked No. 17 (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) in the nation, the Storm men's squad placed 15th at last year's indoor championships. Dudley (high jump) and Postwaite (triple jump) posted All-American finishes in the 2013 indoor championships. Dudley owns this season's fourth-highest mark in the high jump (2.15 meters, 7-00.5). Postwaite has this year's third-best distance in the triple jump (15.64 meters, 51-03.75). 

Dudley, Postwaite and Snyder led Lake Erie to a fifth-place finish at last week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
