PAINESVILLE, OHIO – For the second straight year, the Lake Erie College women's track and field team was recognized as a Division II All-Academic Team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) when the organization released its listing on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Individually, sophomores Colleen Bednar (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) and Kaitlyn Holland (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team earlier this week.
"This award speaks to the kind of student-athletes we have in our program, kids who work hard at practice and competition and put time into their studies" said head coach Bryan Harmon. "These young ladies have proven they have what it takes to compete at a high level both athletically and in the classroom."
In addition to the track and field team, the Storm women's cross country squad also has achieved USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition each of the past two seasons.
