Snyder Runs Fifth in Prelims, Qualifies for 400 Hurdle Finals

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Freshman Ethan Snyder (Salesville, Ohio/Buckeye Trail) advanced to Saturday night's 400-meter hurdle finals with a school record-setting time of 51.67 seconds – better than half a second fastest than his previous best – on Thursday (May 27) at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, N.C.

Snyder had the fifth fastest qualifying time in the preliminaries, running third in the event's second heat.  His is the only first-year competitor of the eight to qualify for the finals.

Teammate and classmate Chris Burrows (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood Madison) will run in the men's 200-meter preliminaries on Friday evening.
