Trio Sets Track Marks Under the Lights at Oberlin

PAINESVILLE, OHIO --  Freshmen Andrea Boyd (Bedford, Ohio/Bedford), Ethan Snyder (Salesville, Ohio/Buckeye Trail) and Greg Gerber (Fremont, Ohio/Clyde) all set school records for the Lake Erie College track and field teams, which fielded a partial contingent on Friday night (April 23) at the Bob Kahn Invitational at Oberlin College.

Boyd ran the 100-meter dash in 12.37 seconds, nearly two-tenths faster than her previous mark.  Snyder also broke his own record in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line under 16 seconds for the first time at 15.73.

Running the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the first time, Gerber finished in 10:31.32, almost half a second faster than the event's runner-up.

A full squad will compete for the Storm on Saturday, April 24, at the Ashland University Alumni Open.
