KISSIMMEE, FLA. -- Lake Erie College (2-5) fell to Concordia State University St. Paul (11-4), 16-3, in six innings at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.

The Golden Bears struck in the top of the first for a pair of runs, both coming on a two-out single.  Lake Erie got one back in the bottom of the second, when senior designated player Brittany Sostre (Parma, Ohio/Valley Forge) hit her second home run of the season, a solo shot.

In the top of the third, Concordia had a blast of its own, a two-run homer, to take a 4-1 advantage.  The Golden Bears really opened the game up in the fourth inning, with the first six batters of the inning reaching base, en route to a five-run inning to take a 9-1 advantage and knock starting freshman pitcher Amber Tagg (Mayfield Village, Ohio/Mayfield) from the contest.

The Storm chipped away in the fourth and fifth frames, scoring a run in each.   In the fourth junior shortstop Megan Foley (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) led off with a double and was brought home on a fielder's choice by freshman first baseman Juliana Brotzman (Madison, Ohio/Madison).  In the fifth, it was Foley's double doing the damage, as she knocked in freshman first baseman Jennifer Gratz (Richwood, Ohio/North Union).

The Golden Bears put the game away for good in the sixth with a seven run inning which saw back-to-back home runs.

The Storm had seven hits in the contest, with Foley and Sostre each accounting for a pair.  Concordia had 18 hits in the game, with the top three batters in the order each accounting for three.
