Storm Makes Final GLIAC Roadtrip (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio-The Lake Erie College men's soccer team heads to the state of Michigan for two GLIAC matchups this weekend. The Storm will face Saginaw Valley State on Friday (Oct. 21) and Northwood on Sunday (Oct. 23).

Storm Report: Lake Erie enters the weekend with a 7-4-3 overall record and a 5-4-3 GLIAC mark. The Storm battled Northern Michigan to a 1-1 draw in two overtimes last Friday night (Oct. 14).

GLIAC Honorable Mention: On offense, Stuart Campbell (Glasgow, Scotland/Glasgow Academy)  was named Honorable Mention as he totaled one goal and one assist in the Storm's two games. Hugo Fauroux (Cannes, France / Lycee Bristol) named Honorable Mention on the defensive side as he made four saves, including his ninth shutout of the year.

Series History: Lake Erie is 3-7-4 overall against Saginaw Valley State since 2009. The Storm are 5-8-3 against Northwood since 2009. Saginaw Valley defeated Lake Erie 2-1 in overtime earlier this season at home. The Storm and the Timberwolves tied 0-0 in two overtimes back in September.

Opposition Position: The Cardinals have 11-3 overall record and 9-3 in the conference. They defeated Ashland 1-0 last time out. The Timberwolves are 8-2-3 overall and 7-2-3 in the conference as they defeated Ohio Dominican 3-0 in their last game.  

Storm Forecast: The Storm will host the Ohio Dominican Panthers on Wednesday (Oct. 26).
