Storm Ranked #7 in NSCAA Regional Rankings

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- After jumping into the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) rankings last week, the Lake Erie College men's soccer team is ranked one spot higher in the second set of rankings released Tuesday (Sept. 13).

Lake Erie is currently ranked seventh in the Midwest Region of the Division II rankings. The Storm was ranked eighth in the first rankings.

Last week, the Storm finished with a 1-1 record. On Friday (Sept. 9), Lake Erie fell to Tiffin 2-1 at home. Tiffin entered the game ranked #5. Kenneth Kolke (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) scored the only goal in that game. On Sunday (Sept. 11), Lake Erie defeated Findlay 1-0 off of a goal from Jesse Schluter (Boksee, Germany/Kathe-Kollwikz School).

Schluter and goalkeeper Hugo Fauroux (Cannes, France/Lycee Bristol) were named to this week's GLIAC Honorable Mention list for Offense and Defense, respectively.

Lake Erie will take on Ashland (Sept. 14) and Northern Michigan (Sept. 16) in road GLIAC matchups this week.
