PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College (7-7-2, 4-4-2 GLIAC) led 1-0 at halftime but a second half scoring outburst left the Storm a goal short in a 3-2 loss at Ohio Dominican University (7-5-3, 6-6-3 GLIAC).

That first half score came off the foot of sophomore Danny Eborall (Sheffield, England/Averett University), his sixth goal of the season.  In the 39th minute Eborall received a pass ahead from junior Jake Shelton (Newburg, Md./Webber International University) and found the back of the net.

The match turned just 34 seconds into the second half as the Storm was called for a foul in the box, resulting in an ODU penalty kick which it converted.  The Panthers went ahead in the 59th minute as Colby Catlett scored on a pass from Thomas Senessie.  Three minutes later, ODU added an insurance goal as Justin Wheeler found Andrew Edler.  That insurance proved to be key as in the game's final minute, junior Randy Danso (Toronto, Canada/North Count Community College) scored in front of the net after an assist by Eborall.

In goal, junior Ricky Carreira (Toronto, Ont./Dante Alighieri Academy) made five saves for the Storm.

ODU had a 17-11 advantage in shots, with Lake Erie holding a 7-5 advantage on corner kicks.

Lake Erie will have a critical week ahead for its postseason chances with road matches at Findlay Friday and Tiffin Sunday.
