Abiar, Danso Scores Pair of Goals Each As LEC Moves Over .500

PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Junior Ajok Abiar (Bor, Republic of Southern Sudan./Gateway (Colo.)) had his first career two-goal match and junior Randy Danso (Toronto, Canada/North Count Community College) matched him as Lake Erie College moved above .500 with a 4-0 win over Salem International University. 

The win improved Lake Erie to 7-6-2 while Salem International fell to 5-5-2.

Danso scored first in the 14th minute, as he took the assist from senior Kyle Roesch (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon).  Abiar then joined him in the 30th minute, giving the Storm a 2-0 lead at the half. 

The score stayed that way until late in the game when Danso scored off the rebound of his own shot in the 84th minute.  Abiar tallied a final scored in the 88th minute. 

Senior Ricky Carreira (Toronto, Ont./Dante Alighieri Academy) and freshman Sam Etherton (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) combined for the shutout in goal, each stopping one shot in their half of work.
