PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Tyler Wason scored almost 10 minutes into overtime to send visiting Urbana University to a 2-1 win over the Lake Erie College men's soccer team Friday night (Sept. 23) at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium.

Wason's game-winner came at 99:54 of the match and completed a Blue Knights' comeback that shocked the Storm (3-4).

After a scoreless first 59 minutes, sophomore Nathan Bias (Dayton, Ohio/Kettering Fairmont) converted a feed from classmate Stewart Bath (Billingham, England/Averett University) to give Lake Erie a 1-0 lead at 59:29.

The goal was the team-leading fourth of the season for Bias.

The score remained that way until the 86th minute when Seppi Welzmueller scored to tie the contest in the closing minutes of regulation and ultimately sending the game into overtime.  Wason assisted on Welzmueller's goal.

Sophomore James Grogan (Leeds, England/Averett University) had a chance early in the overtime period, but was turned away by Urbana keeper Darragh McGinley.  It was one of three saves for McGinley.

The Blue Knights held a 19-14 edge in shots and made seven corner kicks compared to just three for Lake Erie.

Ricky Carreira (Toronto, Ont./Dante Alighieri Academy) made eight saves for the Storm, which has now dropped two straight and three-of-four following a 2-1 start to the season.

The Storm will look to snap its two-game losing streak as continues its weekend of nonconference play on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. against Alderson-Broaddus College at Britt Stadium.
