GLIAC Releases Preseason Football Poll (w/video)

BAY CITY, Mich.—The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) unveiled its annual Preseason Football Coaches' Poll in conjunction with the launch of the conference's media day central website Wednesday (August 3). 

The Storm is projected to finish sixth in the South Division. 

Ashland University was selected to win the South Division, receiving 25 points and five first-place votes.  Ohio Dominican University finished second in the poll, receiving 19 points and the remaining first-place vote.  Tiffin University finished third with 19 points.  The University of Findlay received 13 points to finish fourth while Walsh University received nine points to place fifth. 

Grand Valley State University was projected to win the North Division, receiving 47 points and five first-place votes.  Ferris State University was not far behind the Lakers, receiving 45 points and the remaining three first-place votes.  Michigan Tech University finished third with 35 points while Wayne State University finished fourth with 30 points.  Hillsdale College (21 points), Saginaw Valley State University (16 points), Northern Michigan University (15 points) and Northwood University (15 points) rounded out the rest of the North.
