The Storm (9-7, 4-2) walked off in the opener before ace David LeMasters fanned 10 in the nightcap to hand the Trojans (10-10, 4-2) their first two G-MAC losses of the year.
After an extensive search, Ray Skjold has been named the new head coach of the Lake Erie baseball team as announced by Director of Athletics Kelley Kish on Wednesday morning. Skjold (pronounced Skold) comes to the Storm after serving as an assistant coach with Division I Ball State since 2016.
Lake Erie Baseball will have a new leader for the 2019 season as Cameron Castro has accepted a coaching position within the Milwaukee Brewers organization. Castro (Lake Erie ’12) will be a minor league pitching coach for the 2018 National League Central champions and start out with the Carolina Mud Cats, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Brewers in the Carolina League.
