Kish Appointed To Board of Directors for Women Leaders in College Sports

KANSAS CITY, MO-
Lake Erie College Director of Athletics was named to the Board of Directors for Women Leaders in College Sports today.  The appointment comes after an association wide vote conducted this fall and was announced at the organization's convention, currently taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
Founded in 1979, Women Leaders in College Sports (formerly NACWAA) is the premier leadership organization that develops, connects, and advances women working in college sports and beyond.  Women Leaders takes a pro-active role in advancing women into positions of influence and powerfully shapes the landscape of women leaders.
 
Kish has been active in Women Leaders, completing the Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2009 and graduating from the Executive Institute in 2017.  This summer Kish served as faculty for the Leadership Enhancement Institute.  Past committee service within Women Leaders for Kish includes the Title IX Committee, the Local Organizing Committee (Tampa Convention) and the Nominating Committee.
 
"This leadership organization has meant so much to me and my career path, " Kish said.  "I am honored to represent both Lake Erie and Division II  athletics at the national level on the Board of Directors.  I am excited to serve our membership and Women Leaders around the country to empower their growth through leadership development."
 
Kish joins a number of other tremendous women leaders in college sports in joining the board this year including Joleen Akin from Georgia Tech and Adrianne Swinney of the University of Connecticut.  Returning board members include DII members Pennie Parker, AD of Rollins College, Lindsay Reeves, AD of the University of North Georgia and President-Elect Jacqie McWilliams, Commissioner of the CIAA.  Kish will serve a four year appointment.
