PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie College athletic department hosted its second annual Storm Scramble on Monday (July 31). The outing garnered tremendous support with 25 hole sponsors and saw 27 foursomes take to the course at Little Mountain Country Club.
Lake Erie College's Coordinator of Development for Athletics Kevin Hoogenboom said "Since I have been at Lake Erie College, this was one of the best collaborative efforts amongst our staff. Everyone chipped in and made it a great event for our sponsors and guests". With the efforts of the entire athletics staff and everyone who participated in the Storm Scramble the athletic department was able to raise over $7,500 dollars.
The funds generated from this year's golf outing will be used to rebrand the Lake Erie's athletic department. The rebranding will include changes to the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center.
Lake Erie College athletics would like to thank everyone who played in and sponsored the second annual Storm Scramble.
